Hydrofera BLUE Heavy Drainage Dressing
Extra thick, absorbent dressings for heavily exuding wounds maintain an optimal moist wound healing environment. Bacteriostatic protection is provided by the two organic pigments that also give this dressing its distinctive color - when it changes from blue to white, it's time to change the dressing. Can be used on all types of wounds (except third degree burns), such as radiation and chemical burns, venous stasis ulcers, yeast infections, folliculitis, and infected wounds. Provides a safer healing environment for non-infected wounds, too. Its open cell structure is highly absorptive and draws excess fluid from the wound bed. Soft and comfortable for the patient when secured with a secondary dressing.Effective against MRSA, VRE, and Candida. Large pore size to accommodate copious amounts of drainage under negative pressure wound pump systems.
